SUBMISSION OF MANUSCRIPTS

Manuscripts should be submitted through the online submission system (http://submission.kits.or.kr).
Other correspondences can be sent by an e-mail to Editor-in-Chief, Prof. AHN, Woo-Young, Kongju National University(Cheonan Campus), Chungnam, Korea (e-mail: ahnwy@kongju.ac.kr). The main text, tables, and figures should be prepared as separate objects included in a single file. The text and tables should be prepared as HWP files. If a paper is accepted, authors may be asked to submit independent figure files with higher resolution.
Manuscripts must be submitted with Author Checklist and Copyright Transfer. In a manuscript, the author’s information must contain their affiliation with his/her actual position. The journal requires the corresponding author to sign a copyright transfer agreement and an author checklist on behalf of all authors. Author Checklist and Copyright Transfer can be found during the submission process via online submission system.

EDITORIAL POLICY

Authors must confirm/assert that the manuscript as submitted is not under consideration or accepted for publication elsewhere. Where portions of the content overlap with published or submitted content, those sources must be acknowledged and cited. Additionally, authors must provide the editor with a copy of any submitted manuscript that might contain overlapping or closely related content.
Authors must confirm that all the work in the submitted manuscript is original and to acknowledge and cite content reproduced from other sources. It is authors responsibility to obtain permission to reproduce any content from other sources.
Whole or a part of the text and illustrations should not be published elsewhere without permission. Original raw data must be available for review by the editorial board if required. All authors of a manuscript must have agreed to its submission to the journal and are responsible for the whole content, including literature citations and acknowledgements, and must have agreed that the corresponding author has the authority to act on their behalf on all matters pertaining to publication of the paper. When a paper is published in the journal, it is understood that authors have agreed that the journal has the rights to protect the manuscript form misappropriation of their work.

AUTHORSHIP AND ETHICAL ISSUES

The authorship should be restricted to those who should meet any of the following conditions: 1) substantial contribution to the conception and design of the study, or acquisition, interpretation and analysis of data; 2) drafting the article or revising it critically for the important intellectual content; and 3) final approval of the version to be published. For the policies on the research and publication ethics not stated in this instruction, International standards for editors and authors (https://publicationethics.org/resources/resources-and-further-reading/international-standards-editors-and-authors) can be applied.

FORMS OF PUBLICATION

Original Papers : This form of publication represents original research articles on Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) related technologies, service evaluation, and policies.

PEER-REVIEW

All manuscripts are treated as confidential. They are peer-reviewed by 3 anonymous reviewers selected by the editor and associate editors. The corresponding author is notified within 4 weeks for the first review and 2 weeks for the subsequent reviews of the editor’s decision to accept, accept with revision of manuscripts, review with revision of manuscripts, or reject. When the final revised manuscript is completely acceptable according to the journal format and criteria, it is scheduled for publication in the next available issue. Rejected papers will not be peer-reviewed again.

REVISION OF MANUSCRIPTS

When manuscripts are returned to authors for revision, a cover letter from the editor will provide directions that should be followed carefully. When submitting the revised manuscript, a cover letter should be accompanied by point-to-point replies to the comments given bv the editor, associate editor, and reviewers included and how the revisions have been made. If the revised paper is not received within 3 months, and if other necessary arrangements are not made by the editor, the manuscript is considered to have been withdrawn.

PAGE PROOFS

Page proofs and reprint order forms are sent to the corresponding author, together with an instruction for payment of page charges and reprint costs. It is advised that editing is limited to the correction of typographical error, incorrect data, and grammatical errors, and for updating information on references which were in press. The results of page proofs should be sent immediately by e-mail, or if signed proofs, sent by FAX, preferably within 2 business days.

PUBLICATION CHARGE

All authors are required to register as journal members to publish a paper in the journal. The publication fee for an original paper is ₩100,000 up to 6 pages (₩200,000 for express processing and ₩400,000 for special processing), and ₩30,000 per additional page will be charged (₩40,000 for express processing and ₩50,000 for special processing). The publication cost is subjected to change according to the society's financial situation (http://submission.kits.or.kr).

PREPARATION OF MANUSCRIPTS

Prepare manuscripts preferably using HWP for Windows on an A4 (210×297 mm) page format. Do not leave extra space between paragraphs. Only one type of font (e.g., Human Myeongjo) should be used in 9.5 point. Latin origin word, such as “et al.”, “in situ”, “in vitro”, and “in vivo” should not be italicized.
Number all pages in sequence, including the Title Page, Abstract, INTRODUCTION, MATERIALS AND METHODS, RESULTS, DISCUSSION,ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS, REFERENCES, followed by Figure Legends. Tables and Figures should be separately included in a single file. Headings should be in normal letters (not bold letters), and aligned in the center. If possible, sentences should not begin with abbreviated words.

Authors’ information including names and affiliations should not appear in the manuscript. Each section is numbered in Roman style (I, II, III, ...) with subsections numbered in Arabic style (I.1.1, (1), ①). Tables and figures should have a concise and informative title in English, placed in the upper left corner of the table and the lower left corner of the figure, respectively. Tables and figures should be numbered as,, ..., , , ... with concise explanation in English.
All references cited in the text must appear in the REFERENCE section, and all items in this section should be cited in the text. References should listed in alphabetical order. The sequence of reference is authors, year published, title of papers, journal name, and volume followed by pages. Abbreviated journal names are not allowed. Follow the style shown by the examples below.
